New Dates for 9th China Food Expo (CFE) in Sept.15-18

The 9th China Food Expo (CFE) will be held in Chengdu, September 15-18 in Chengdu.  CFE is supported by the China Ministry of Commerce and targets professions in the food and beverage industry and has grown in popularity with each session. The organizer has promised to arrange B2B match meetings for exhibitors with invitations to major retailers in Chengdu and surrounding areas. For the first time, the 11th China Food Safety Annual Summit will be held at CFE with over 200 high level government officials from central government, CEOs of food manufacturer giants, and 30 national media participation. The organizer is also working with the national magazine ¡°Diplomat¡± to carry out a Diplomats Cooking Competition as a side event at the show.

Background Info: The 2012 show attracted approximately 3,000 companies from 35 countries, regions, and provinces as well as 150,000 visitors, including 32,000 identified as ¡°professional¡± visitors. Trade volume of on-site signed or intended contracts reached almost 2 billion USD, 17 percent higher than 2011. The ATO has secured discount pricing for U.S.-affiliated companies who wish to be a part of a U.S. pavilion in 2013.  At the expo, the organizer will offer professional seminars, promotional events, and match-making services.
